How to submit a car reservation in Turkey from GoToSafar?

First, enter the site and after entering the information accurately, press the search button to see the list of available cars; now choose your desired car, and to confirm your reservation, pay prepayment; the rest is paid when picking up the car.

What are the documents required to submit a reservation from GoToSafar by customers residing in Turkey?

Customers who are residents of Turkey and live in this country can do this by presenting these documents: a valid Turkish driving license, an original valid Driving license of their own country, a valid Kimlik card, and a valid passport.

Is it possible to cancel the car reservation and will I be fined for it?

Yes; for that, you should contact to sales unit and inform them. So, if more than 24 hours are left to the pick-up time, no penalty will be considered; but if there are less than 24 hours left, the prepayment will not be returned and kept as a fine.

What should be done in case of an accident?

First, call the support unit then get the accident report and a negative alcohol test certificate from the police; also, do not move the car before that and take the other driver's insurance policy, car documents, driver's license, and Kimlik card.

How many days is the minimum and maximum period of car rental?

The minimum reservation period for normal days, is 3 days and 7 days in high-traffic seasons. The maximum reservation period is 1 month, and for longer reservations, you should contact the sales unit.

How many drivers are allowed to use the car?

This depends on the capacity of the car in terms of passengers, and you can ask about it before registering your reservation; therefore, if you have only registered the name of a driver, it is an offense for anyone else to drive the car.

If the car is returned to the company early, will the customer be refunded or not?

No; if the car is returned earlier than the time mentioned in the contract, no refund will be given.v

What is minor damage insurance?

This insurance is a recommended and optional item in addition to the main car insurance, which only covers minor damages up to 4,000 to 6,000 liras; therefore, we recommend using this insurance for reservations of less than ten days.

How to pay highway tolls for rental cars in Turkey?

In Turkey, highway tolls are paid through HGS electronic labels, so, all toll amounts are recorded online in the system and when you return the car to the company, our colleagues will inquire about it and inform you to pay.

Are all fines determined and received when the car is returned?

No; a small number of driving offenses are announced in the desired system within 2 to 7 months after the return of the car, and for this reason, the customer may be notified via email to pay.

What actions will be taken by the company if the car is not returned on time to the company at the appointed time and date?

Due to the provision of our services due to the picking up and dropping off schedule, any delay after the time and date recorded in the contract will cause you to pay a fine; a delay of more than 2 hours will cause you to be prosecuted as a thief.

What are the documents required to register a reservation from GoToSafar by travelers and tourists to Turkey?

Tourist or Passenger means those who haven’t passed more than 6 months since the last date of their arrival in Turkey. Documents for booking are a valid: international driving license, original driving license of their own country and passport.

Is it possible to pick up the car in a city and requested place by the customer and drop it off in another city and place?

Yes; you can pick up the car from the company parking lot or anywhere in the city and drop it off at any other place and city; note, the drop off of the car in a place other than the place registered in the contract, will make you pay a fee.

What is the status of car insurance?

All our cars have insurance and if all the documents you need are complete, the insurance will cover all the damages.

What should I do if my car breaks down or becomes inoperable due to an accident?

If your vehicle is no longer proper for driving, you should contact the GoToSafar support unit so that necessary measures can be taken.

Is anyone other than the main and the second driver allowed to drive the rented car?

No; due to the Turkish traffic rules regarding rental cars, only the persons whose names are registered in the car rental contract as the first and second drivers are allowed to drive and use the respective car.

Is it possible to pick up the car at any hour of the day or night?

Yes; all offices of the GoToSafar are open 24 hours a day in whole the week, and you can pick up or drop off the car at any time of the day or night.

Does the tank of the car have to be full when it is picked up from the company and dropped off?

All cars are presented to the customer with an almost empty tank and are received from them like that; so, the cars only have fuel until they reach the first gas station, and if you return the car with a full tank, you will not be refunded for that.

Is it possible to extend the reservation period? What are its conditions?

Yes; you must inform us at least 48 hours before the end of your previous reservation, because your car may have already been reserved by someone else; so, the result and cost of this action will be announced to you by us.

How to pay traffic fines in Turkey?

Considering that it is possible to see driving offenses in online by car rental companies, when returning the car to the company, we can easily inquire about any traffic fines and inform you of the final amount to pay.

Will non-payment of fines that are announced to me later cause legal problems?

Yes; if you do not pay them, the company will prepare an official complaint against you and take the necessary legal measures in Turkey and your own country, which can lead to your deportation or prevent you from re-entering Turkey.
